The clash between Burnley and Watford has all the makings of a great survival duel. The two teams are separated by only two points and the home side can finally get out of the relegation zone if they win, at the expense of their opponents. But Burnley have won only once this season (1-8-6) and their 14 goals scored are certainly not scary. In the last round here, they did get a rather valuable draw with West Ham (0-0), but it would probably be more cheerful if it wasn't their third league encounter in a row in which they failed to score.
The visitors last played at Brentford Stadium on Friday, but couldn't hold on to their surprising lead (they have conceded first in six of their eight away games this season) and lost 1-2. So after a run of four losses, coach Ranieri's men are heading towards the relegation three and have lost the most games of any team this season - 11.
The home team's score has been affected by a huge number of draws and coach Sean Dyche's team has been both praised and excused for simply being unlucky. Burnley have an opportunity to confirm those words and finally get a win.
