Borussia Mönchengladbach took home a 1:4 defeat from Leipzig at the weekend and failed to pointed in their third consecutive league game - conceding 4+ goals in all of them - dropping them just two points above the relegation. The team from the Lower Rhine are thus not taking advantage of the fact that, unlike their rivals, they are not playing European Cups this season. They will be looking to end an unfavourable streak against Eintracht Frankfurt and their confidence may be boosted by the fact that they haven't lost to them in their last six games (4-2-0). But Frankfurt is in form, which was demonstrated against Leverkusen, who were already 2-0 up before 30 minutes of game, but Frankfurt equalised before half-time and then turned the tide with three more goals after the change of sides. Frankfurt pointed in the fourth of the previous five rounds and moved closer to the cup positions. Borussia can't afford any more mistakes, and they could close the gap on Eintracht in points, so as in the previous matches, an offensive spectacle with more goals won't come as a surprise.
