Leverkusen won their last Europa League match against Real Betis and remain unbeaten at the top of the group (3-1-0) after four rounds, but they are not doing well in the league at the moment, with only two points from the last four matches. The gap to leaders Bayern Munich, to whom they lost 1-5 a month ago, has increased to a 10 points. Bayer played the four Bundesliga games without top scorer Patrik Schick, who remains on the injured list. While coach Gerard Seoane's men are experiencing a weaker season, Bochum are in the opposite position - they beat Hoffenheim two weeks ago and have won three of their previous four league games (3-0-1) - keeping a clean sheet in every win. Bochum has moved away from the relegation zone, but hasn't done too well in away games, gaining only a 3 of the 13 points there.
The newcomer to the 1. Bundesliga won't improve its unfavourable away record, Leverkusen can't afford any more losses and after three defeats in a row they will be looking to score points in front of their home fans.
Prediction:
Leverkusen @ 1.45 (bet365)
