Hertha BSC won at newcomer Bochum (3:1) in the last round and won for the first time in the season after three defeats, so they can to climb off the bottom of the table. Coach Pál Dárdai can breathe a sigh of relief, as although he saved the Berlin club among the German elite in the spring, speculation about his future was slowly beginning to surface.
Hertha won against a newcomer of the league for the first time in the last five such matches (1-2-2) and can confirm the opposite trend against Greuther Fürth, another team that was recently in the second league.
The visitors have only one point (1:1 with Biefield) after four rounds, have lost twice in a row without scoring a goal and have just replaced Hertha at the bottom of the table. Furth are following up their Bundesliga debut in 2012/13, which ended in relegation, despite having three more points than this season at the same stage of league. Fürth have lost both away games, conceding at least once in both halftimes, and there are no signs of reversing the negative record at the Olympiastadion.
Against Mainz, in the second to last round of the league, they have only one shot on target in the whole game. And that's despite being down 0:2 from the 18th minute. No glory then, even in the last match, in which Wolfsburg outplayed them significantly and deservedly won 2:0.
Prediction:
Hertha Berlin @ 1.70 (bet365)
