21.11.21 - 13:00 CET
FRANCE: Ligue 1
Brest managed to record their second win in a row before the national break, being the only team to win at Lorient (1:2). They even managed to turn the game around in the second half thanks to a red card for their opponents, and the winning goal was scored by Steve Mounie, who also made his mark for Benin in last week's World Cup qualifiers, where the West African side failed to qualify. Michel Der Zakarian's players haven't lost 4 games in a row, which puts them above the promotion and they will be looking to build on their solid form of recent weeks at home against Racing Lens.
This season's surprise jumped again to second place in the table behind Paris with the previous win against Troyes (4:0) and continues to surprise the football public. The high win over the newcomer of the competition last time was directed by the back Jonathan Clauss, who contributed to the victory with two assists and one goal. Lens also prides itself on their excellent offensive play this season. Goals are spread all over the team and virtually anyone can score, from the high-scoring wing backs to the trio of forwards that coach Franck Haise often rotates in games.
The home team will have a very tough time against an offensively driven Lens, but they will want to rely on their improved play in recent weeks, but even that probably won't be enough.
My bet:
Lens @ 2.20 (bet365)
safer bet: Lens wins at least one half @ 1.65
