Premier League
The league newcomer Brentford played on Sunday for the first time since December 10, when they beat Watford 2-1 at home, but the long break did not help them - they lost 0-2 at Brighton. But this time they will have a very difficult time, as they will be visited by the leaders Manchester City, although their record in the clashes with the current top four doesn't look too bad (1-1-1) - for example, they drew 3-3 with Liverpool.
But the Citizens are somewhere else at the moment, which they proved on Boxing Day with six goals scored against Leicester, four of them in the first 25 minutes of the game. The visitors have now won eight games in a row in the league and have netted a total of 17 goals in their last four appearances. City have also won all 15 league games this season in which they have been the first to assert themselves, so the outcome is usually decided very quickly, as evidenced by their impressive 12-1 scoreline in the first quarter of the game. Moreover, coach Guardiola is also lucky that in the current crisis his team avoided positive tests for Covid-19 and can use almost the full strength of his squad.
My bet:
Manchester City score in both halves @ 1.65
