A week ago, Dortmund went without a point against Borussia Mönchengladbach and recorded their second defeat in their first six Bundesliga games (4-0-2), the first time that has happened since the 2016/17 season.
Coach Marco Rose's men improved their spirits with Tuesday's 1-0 win over Sporting CP in the Champions League, where they remain 100% after two rounds and are on course for advancing. Dortmund have to do without their main offensive weapon Erling Håland in both of these games, who is recovering from a muscle injury and will probably have to decide at the last minute whether he will play against Augsburg. Alternatively, he will be replaced by Donyell Malen, who scored for the first time in his new club in Tuesday's game.
Augsburg are at the other end of the table, with only five points after six rounds (1-2-3) and above all two goals scored - the worst attack in league! The visitors drew two of their three away games this season, but that was their only points in the previous nine meetings (0-2-7). Saturday's game shouldn't change that, and a Dortmund win with a higher goal difference won't be surprising.
