SOUTH AMERICA: World Cup - Qualification - Round 12
It's been more than 48 years since Paraguay last won a World Cup qualifier in Bolivia, and they've been there seven times since then, with the home side winning the last four matches.
This time the visitors need to work hard in La Paz, the qualification is not going well for them and a possible loss of points would make their journey to the championship very difficult. Already after 11 rounds out of 18 they are 4 points behind the direct qualification and 3 points behind the fifth promotion place. Bolivia have no a chance to qualify since the beginning, but one of the weakest football countries on the continent can turn the favourites for valuable points, especially at home. Seven of the nine points have been won at their stadium, which is specific for their extraordinary altitude, which is hard for visiting teams to match.
Bolivia have not lost three games in a row at home (Venezuela 3-1, Colombia 1-1, Peru 1-0) and are also hopeful against Paraguay, who have only brought five points from away. But this time they have to, which means that both teams should score, just like in their first game, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
My bet:
Both Teams to Score - Yes @ 2.05 (bet365)
