COUNTER-STRIKE: Blast Premier: Fall (Europe) - Lower bracket
Liquid are in the collapse phase. The former North American leaders are more or less finished - four of their five players are no longer counted on by 2022. Unsurprisingly, the players have little incentive to keep trying, given that some of them have already secured commitments elsewhere. Their tragic results both at the Major and now at the BLAST only confirm this. The clear losses against FaZe and Vitality also set a precedent against NIP.
NIP have made a somewhat significant lineup change with the addition of Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, making them a little less calculating than they were with Linus "LNZ" Holtäng. While it's true that things aren't quite right for them yet, which was evident in their loss to Astralis, they are moving in the right direction. Even the loss against the brand new Astralis was very close, and so the expectation is that they can handle the declining Liquid quite easily. So a 2-0 win is not off the table at all.
