UEFA Conference League
Swiss Basel are doing very well this season, currently topping the Swiss league table and have not yet tasted defeat (5-3-0 - 22:7). They are also ahead of their biggest rival and title challenger Young Boys Bern. Basel is very strong at home and last year they were not outclassed by other strong teams like PSV from the Netherlands, Krasnodar, Trabzonspor from Turkey or the very good Frankfurt from Germany. Last league match, Basel played at home against Zurich and Basel won 3:1. I don't see why Kairat Almaty should win here, Basel would have to underrate the game a lot.
Kairat Almaty is currently in 3rd place in the Kazakh league. Ahead of them are Astana and Tobol. They also played a qualifier for the Champions League, where they faced Serbian CZ Belgrade, but dropped out (home won 2:1 / away lost 5:0). After that, they had to qualify for the Europa League, but they met a relatively weak Alashkert, but the opposite was true. This team knocked them out and only Conference League was left for Kairat.
So for me, Basel at home, the aspects are clear. Home is home and Basel is really strong at home. They have a much better squad, which should definitely show in the match.
