ATP - SINGLES: Next Gen Finals - Milan (World), hard (indoor)
This match will offer us a duel between Italian tennis player Lorenzo Musetti (58) and Hugo Gaston (67) from France.
Musetti surprisingly lost to Argentinian Baez in the first match here and although he has the advantage of the home environment, he only confirmed his game struggles. He hasn't won anything since the French Open and has won at least twice in the tournament, most recently in Paris where he beat Pouille in qualifying and Serbian Djere in the 1st round as a lucky loser.
Gaston, boosted by his impressive run at the Masters in Paris, played well in his opening group match against Korda, when he was already leading 2:0 in sets. However, he worked hard, fought off the matchball and eventually turned the match on his side.
If Gaston wants to think about qualifying from the group, he needs to win both remaining matches and Musetti shouldn't be a tough challenge for him with his actual form. He had no chance at all against the clay player Baez and couldn't produce a single breakball in the whole match, offering 16 to his opponent. The quality is clearly on the Frenchman's side and I expect him to win.
The players recently met in the final of the qualification in Paris and Gaston won 2:1 in sets.
Hugo Gaston to win @ 1.53 (bet365)
