ATP - SINGLES: Vienna (Austria), hard (indoor) - 1/8-finals
Ruud is a tennis player from Norway and his score this year is 50/13. He's really on fire this year, he's taken 5 titles this year and it's still not enough for him and beating one opponent after another. His last title was in San Diego where he beat Norrie in the final (6:0 / 6:2). He's really on fire and I think he's the clear favorite here.
He's ranked 8th in the ATP rankings.
Sonego is a tennis player from Italy and his score this year is 28/21. He is playing pretty good tennis this year but not at Ruud's level. He took one clay title earlier in the year in a home tournament and since then it's been average. He doesn't even have a good scalp to be proud of this year. So I don't think he has any strong weapon to use against Ruud here.
He's ranked 23rd in the ATP rankings.
Their recent match in San Diego ended with Ruud winning 6:1, 6:4 against Sonego and I definitely believe in Ruud this time as well. He is playing in better form and he has a lot of motivation at the end of the season. He has been avoiding surprising defeats lately, he has already won five tournaments this year, which is the most on the circuit.
