ATP - SINGLES: Paris (France), hard (indoor) - 1/32-finals
Adrian Mannarino will have the advantage of a home environment here, and he has been playing very solid indoors for a long time, but his form this year has been one of misery. The Frenchman has been picking up one loss after another, apart from the semi-finals on grass in Mallorca and the quarter-finals in Moscow he hasn't really won anything at all and a lot of his performances have had nothing to do with ATP quality. Mannarino is a kind of a snake charmer who doesn't have any proper punch, but he can bore his opponent and make them make mistakes, but in this form he makes a lot of mistakes himself.
Nikoloz Basilashvili is a player with top 10 potential, but I put him in the group of players like Fognini, Bublik or Paire, who you never know what they will come up with. The Georgian knows how to walk away and throw a match, but he hasn't shown similar extempore in a long time and it shouldn't be a threat at such a prestigious tournament. Nikoloz is in great form, he is having a great year overall, which was spiced up with titles from Doha and Munich and recently reaching the final of the so-called fifth Grand Slam of the season in Indian Wells.
Form is clearly on the side of the Georgian, who is playing great tennis right now and if he doesn't let Mannarino put him to sleep, he should go through to the second round.
Nikoloz Basilashvili to win @ 1.50 (bet365)
