Premier League
After an opening three losses and three wins in a row, Arsenal also played their first draw of the new season. The clash in the south of England with Brighton ended goalless in heavy rain, but coach Arteta was pleased. Arsenal have not conceded in the third of their last four league games and their highly negative score (5:10) is affected by the debacle at Man City.
In the London derby this time the Gunners welcome Crystal Palace led by their former captain Patrick Vieira. The visitors remain behind expectations, having won only one game this season (1-4-2), although the former French midfielder's target was the top half of the table. Nothing is lost and Palace proved their determination in the last round - they were down 0:2 at home to Leicester after an hour of play, but managed to equalise. The same result (2:2) was also the result of the previous away London derby, which Palace played at West Ham.
Arsenal and Crystal Palace both beat Tottenham 3-0 at home and neither of them would be angry for a similar result this time. The fact that no one will have it easy is evidenced by the even score of the last six duels (1 win for Arsenal, 1 win for Palace and 4 draws). Now, the home team could be happier as their improvement looks more credible and overall more stable than Palace's performances.
My bet:
Arsenal @ 1.61 (bet365)
EDIT: odds on Arsenal to win go up @ 1.70 (bet365)
