My favorite here is Columbus. They are currently in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with 16 points and a 43:40 score. They've won eight games and lost five. They've only won one of their last three games, but they've played the powerful Rangers and Washington. Now they'll have a chance to catch the clearly worst team in this year's NHL, Arizona. They're fighting for the playoffs, with only three points between them and sixth place. Plus, they've played two or three games less than the others. They also have four injured players.
Arizona are the last team in the Western Conference and the worst team in NHL. They have played 16 games and have only five points, with a draw against Buffalo and wins over newcomer Seattle and St. Louis. The score is 26:62. They're getting some serious rations from the better teams. Columbus 8-2, St. Louis 7-4, Edmonton 5-1, Tampa 5-1. The best player on the team is without a doubt Karel Vejmelka (goalie). If it wasn't for his skill in goal, Arizona would have even worse numbers.
I think Columbus will clearly win. They've already played once this year and Columbus won 8-2. Columbus scored 8 goals from 26 shots in that game and had almost a 31% success rate. If Arizona had won, it would have been a huge surprise for me.
My bet:
Asian Handicap: Columbus Blue Jackets -1.5 @ 2.65 (bet365)
