Serie A
Just a few weeks ago, the Round of 18 match between AC Milan and Napoli was being talked about as a clear-cut battle for the league title. It was supposed to be a battle between the two league leaders, who dominated the competition at the time. It is true that the Italian Serie A is evenly matched and both teams are still fighting for title, but given their several falters in the last rounds, they are no longer alone in this. Milan are slightly better, having only drawn 1-1 with Udinese last time and lost points again after two previous wins, but Napoli have lost three of their last five league games, including the last one at home to Empoli!
The injury-plagued visitors are out of form, and that doesn't bode well ahead of their trip to the San Siro. The slight positive is the return of Lorenzo Insigne. But AC Milan have won only one of their last five competitive matches here (1-2-2) and it appears that the ageless Zlatan just isn't up to the task all by himself. In addition, there is a very even record of recent fixtures - only five goals have been scored in the previous five played here!
The visitors are struggling and the home team is not in the form to take advantage of it, so it is very likely that we will see a careful match that will end in a draw.
My bet:
Draw @ 3.50 (bet365)
safer bet: 1st half result or match result - Draw @ 1.78
