Champions League
AC Milan shares the lead in Serie A with Napoli, but has a worse score. At the weekend, they managed a tough match in Rome, where they beat local AS 2-1. Although the squad is plagued by injuries, the team is on the move and there is a great sense of well-being within the club. But in the actual Champions League, it is a disaster. Despite good performances, it has resulted in 0 points and last place in the group so far. Therefore, AC Milan need to make this match a three-pointer and revive their hopes of qualifying for at least the spring part of the Europa League. The recovered Zlatan Ibrahimovic made 2 starts in the starting lineup after injury and scored a goal in both matches. He will be the main responsibility.
Porto has 4 points more than its opponent. They won three points in their match against the Italian club and a point in Madrid against Atlético. They are in first place in the league (as Sporting are) and at the weekend they were able to take 3 points for a 4-1 win against Boavista.
I clearly favour Milan at home in this match. They have a level better squad, definitely more ambition and they will want to use all that in this match to bring it to a winning end.
